Make-ups may be made up in any age comparable class, prior to April 1, within the current dance season, by clicking "STUDIO MAKE-UPS" at the top right corner of any SFK Academy of Dance page under "Our Studio."

The more classes your family accumulates, the more of an over all discount you receive.
Payments are made through an automatic debit on the 14th of each month for the month to follow. 
The monthly fee is the same regardless of whether there are 3, 4, or 5 weeks that month as tuition is annual, broken into 10, monthly payments for your convenience. 
Tuition payments cover the cost of the class and do not include the Registration or Recital fee

$35 charged upon enrollment, and every Sept thereafter. $35 first student/$15 second, ($50 family max).


Our recital fee is $150 per child and will be split into 3 payments of $50 on November 1st, January 1st, and March 1st for your convenience. It includes: 

  • Costume & tights​​

  • 2 Recital tickets (per family)

  • 1 VideoPass* for dress rehearsal

  • Recital t-shirt

  • Recital video file/download

  • Participation medal

  • Commemorative program

The fee for each additional class (same child, costume only) is $85/class/performance, charged January 1 st. 

*Our VideoPass is for one parent/adult to video their child during our on stage dress rehearsal!
We will be reserving the first few rows for VideoPass holders to get an up close video during their child’s particular performance(s).

*No video/Photography allowed during the Recital*

*Recital fee is 100% refundable if you confirm you are not participating BY February 15TH*

You may cancel any time after your 2-month minimum, as long as you notify us via email, at, prior to the 15th of the previous month. For example, If you are canceling your enrollment for the month of December, please email the office before November 15th.


general Policies

  • SFK Academy of Dance reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration and a full refund will be given.

  • The studio will be closed for major holidays and school vacations – please see our monthly calendar.

  • We accept new students in the summer, and between September and February, when space is available.

  • The studio calendar year runs from September – June, with a Summer Session July-August.

  • Please label ALL shoes and dancewear. SFK Academy of Dance is not responsible for lost, mixed-up or stolen items.

  • All communication is sent via email; please keep a current email address updated through the Jackrabbit Parent Portal. 

  • Referral Program: When you refer a new student and they register into a class, you get a $25 credit on your account.

Missed Classes

  • There is no discount, refund, or credit given for missed classes due to illness, or personal commitments. You are welcome to make-up any class missed in any age-appropriate class of your choice at any time of the dance season prior to March 31st.  

  • Please schedule a makeup class on our website, at the upper right corner of our SFK Academy of Dance page (under "Our Studio), by clicking, "STUDIO MAKE-UPS"

Payments and Balances

  • All studio accounts have one primary account holder.  This is the account holder that registers and signs the registration form.  This account holder will be the one considered financially responsible for the account.

  • Billing is on the 14th of every month for the following month.

  • The school year will consist of 34 weeks of classes held over a ten-month period.

  • The monthly fee is the same regardless of how many weeks are in the month, as tuition is annual, and broken into 10, monthly payments for your convenience. 

  • If for any reason you decide to discontinue your classes, you are not obligated to pay for the balance of the school year.

  • Any student with an overdue balance of more than 15 days will not be allowed into class until payment in full is received or payment arrangements have been made, however, you will be responsible for any balance due.

  • SFK Academy of Dance does not mail paper statements from our office for your monthly tuition. You may check your account online at any time.

  • Registration Fees are non-refundable.

  • We accept Credit/Debit, Visa, MasterCard & Discover only.

  • NO CHECKS, AMEX or CASH accepted.


Account Cancellations

  • Our annual recital will be June 6th and 7th, 2020 (Times TBA).

  • Our in-studio rehearsals will be May 26th - 30th 2020 (Times TBA).

  • Our Dress Rehearsal will be held at our venue, June 1st - 3rd, time slot TBD.

  • Participation is optional; however, we do encourage all students to take advantage of this wonderful performing experience.

  • Recital sign-up and costume ordering is finalized in February.

  • No video/photography of any kind is allowed during our Showtime. However, we will be reserving the first few rows of our venue to allow recording during our dress rehearsal. One adult per child will be allowed to video their child at this time.


Classroom Rules

  • Students should wait until the teacher is present before entering the classroom, unless directed otherwise.  All students should exit the classroom at the end of class.  Younger students whose parents have not yet arrived for pickup should wait with one of our office staff members.  Students are not permitted to use the classrooms when a teacher is not present unless arrangements are made through the studio office.

  • In an effort to preserve the Studio floors, no food or drink (except water) is permitted.

  • Dance shoes should be worn inside the studio only. Wearing dance shoes outside will ruin the shoe and bring in the dirt to the dance floor. Our studio floors should be preserved as best as possible to ensure a clean and safe environment for our dancers. 

  • Street shoes are NOT allowed inside the dance studio at any time. Please take street shoes off and put dance shoes on in the lobby.

  • Please do not enter the studio spaces unless attending a class in that space.

  • The Studio is a place of learning – please refrain from running around in the hallways or studios disrupting classes.

  • Parents and visitors are welcome to observe classes through viewing windows only.

  • Dancers are expected to be in class on time and appropriately dressed/warmed up.

  • All studio dance classes have a dresscode. Please refer to this dresscode HERE.
